In 2019, a charter has been drawn up up for the reduction of concentrations of problematic plant protection products in surface water. This charter provides for emission reduction plans for these problematic active substances. Meanwhile, emission reduction plans have been drawn up for the active substances terbuthylazine, flufenacet and metazachlor.
In 2022, aclonifen and dimethenamid-p were selected as the active substances to monitor in order to reduce the concentration of problematic plant protection products in surface water. An emission reduction plan is now being drawn up for these substances.
In order to obtain good results and to maintain the use of these plant protection products in the long term, we count on the cooperation of all authorisation holders, traders, advisers and users involved.
