Certificates, certified copies and translations
To support companies exporting their products to third countries, our service can issue a certificate confirming that fertilising products may be legally placed on the Belgian market.
A certificate may be issued in Dutch, French or English for products that:
- are listed in Annex I of the Royal Decree of 28 January 2013;
- are covered by a derogation;
- require a certified translation of the derogation; or
- comply with the requirements laid down in Regulation (EU) No 2019/1009 on fertilising products.
The certificate confirms that the concerned product meets the conditions required to be placed on the Belgian market, specifies the applicable requirements, and states the product’s trade name.
A fee of €100 must be paid to the Budgetary Fund for Raw Materials and Products. Applications will be processed upon receipt of payment.
Procedure for requesting a Certificate
To obtain a certificate, an online application must be submitted together with the following information:
- Product type designation or the derogation reference number (EM number):
- Trade name(s) of the product (for Belgium and for the country of destination);
- Country or countries of destination;
- At least one analysis report covering the relevant parameters;
- One or more sample labels;
- Preferred language of the certificate (Dutch, French or English).
- For Belgian fertilising products:
- The composition of the product and the raw materials used;
- A description of the production proces;
- For CE fertilising products:
- The EU declaration of conformity,
- Where applicable, the certificate or the approval decision.
Certified Copy or Certified Translation of a Derogation
To obtain a certified copy or a certified translation of a derogation, submit an online application and indicate:
- the relevant derogation reference number (EM number) and
- the desired language.
