If new residue studies need to be carried out, funding for these studies can be applied for from the Council of the Budget Fund.
- If there is no budget for all the proposed studies, then the priority list of the working groups is followed for funding.
- No funding is provided if the Approval Committee has not first given its agreement regarding the efficacy of the product in the crop which is applied for. The efficacy data which are required in this respect are provided by the sector itself in principle.
- For horticulture, the funding of efficacy studies can also be applied for.
The Council of the Budget Fund gives advice regarding the awarding, or not, of funding. The Minister responsible for Public Health takes the final decision.
