In the zonal system based on Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2009, one core dossier is drawn up per zone. However the possibility exists to impose additional national requirements per Member State. In this way, Member State-specific concerns are taken into account. The national requirements per Member State can be consulted here.
A number of documents with Belgian national requirements:
- Requirements for adjuvants
- Requirements for non-professional plant protection products
- Emissions from protected crops to the environment in Belgium
- Data requirements and procedure for the risk assessment for bees
- Guidance dose expression for vertical crops
The data for these national requirements must be present in the application dossier for plant protection products. They are appended to the core dossier in a national addendum.
Comparative assessment
Comparative assessment and substitution is a requirement for certain plant protection products introduced by EU Regulation 1107/2009. This guidance explains how the Belgian competent authority (the Service Plant Protection Products and Fertilisers, SPF) will undertake comparative assessment and substitution.
