Regarding applications for establishing import tolerances (applications which by definition are not related to an authorisation of a plant protection product), Belgium will examine such applications if it concerns an active substance for which Belgium has been designated as the Rapporteur Member State (RMS).

Belgium may exceptionally be invited to assess applications for import tolerances for active substances for which no Rapporteur Member State has been designated. The procedure is similar to the procedure for establishing an MRL.
