The Service Plant Protection and Fertilising products has been informed by the sector about a number of cases concerning crop damage in 2024 that can be associated with spray drift following the use of aclonifen containing products and carfentrazone-ethyl containing products on adjacent plots.
In order to avoid the occurrence of such crop damage in the future, the Authorisation Committee has decided to impose a minimum drift reduction of 90% for all aclonifen containing and all carfentrazone-ethyl containing products. The use of nozzles that reduce drift by at least 90% has no adverse impact on the efficacy of the products.
This measure takes effect immediately and it concerns the following products:
